Imediate Action Letter 81-14 listed the actions you took to prevent recurrent losses of Residual Heat Removal (RHR) System flow when the Reactor Coolant System (RCS) is drained below the range of Control Room pressurizer level indication.
Your January 6 letter proposed changes to those actions.

c.
During periods of loss or degradation of RHR flow, two incore thermocouples percore quadrant will be logged every ten minutes until flow is restored fully or all actions required by your Abnomal Procedure " Loss of RHR with RCS drained to Midspan of Loops", are complete.
Your proposed modification appears' acceptable.
Implementation of these actions will be reviewed during our routine inspections.
We understand that you will obtain our concurrence for any additional modifications to these actions prior to implementation.
