NRC Inspection of Washington Nuclear Projects 1 and 4
This Mfers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. Narbut and Toth of
this office on Oc.tober 1, 9, and 19-23, 1981 of activities authorized by
NRC Construction Permit No. CPPR-134 and CPPR-174, and to the discussions
of our findings held by Mr. Narbut and Mr. Toth with Mr. C. Edwards and
other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspections.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the enclosed
inspection report. Within these areas, the innection consisted of
selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews
with personnel, and observations by the inspectors.
Based on the results of this inspection, it appears that one of your
activities was not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements,
as set forth in the Notice of Violation, enclosed herewith as Appendix A.
Your response to this notice is to be submitted in accordance with the
rrovisions of 10 CFR 2.201 as stated in Appendix A. Notice of Violation.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosures
will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room unless you notify this
office, by telephone, within ten days of the date of this letter and
submit written application to withhold infomation contained therein
within thirty days of the date of this letter. Such application must be
consistent with the requirements of 2.790(b)(1).
