t Reannointment of Jay C.
Carroll Members agreed to recommend reappointment of Mr. Carroll as a member.
It was agreed that, in view of the limited time available until the end of his present appointment (May 31, 1992), the Committee should send up his nomination this month. Since the Commission prefers to select from a panel, the Committee.
should try to select a panel from the candidates already-considered.
However, if the Committee is unable to send up a panel of alternates for consideration by the Commission Mr.
Carroll should be sent up as a single nominee.

ACRS Bulletin Board System A list of the groups of people who have access to the BBS and the separation between the ACRS/ACNW Group and the Open Group was discussed (see Attachment C, PP. C7-C8).
Members agreed that the guidelines used to define the groups and the degree of separation, etc., appear adequate.
Dave Ward suggested that a Members Only group would be useful.
This can be added as a third group if members endorse it.
4.
1993-97 ACRS Resources Anticipated changes in specific ACRS Work assignments were
~
discussed (see Attachments D and E, PP. D9-D11 and E12-E25).
Although some increases and decreases are expected in particular areas, the overall workload is expected to remain about the same.
In view of this conclusion, the basic resources assigned to support of ACRS/ACNW activities will remain the same at:
38 FTEs (full-time equivalent employees) l
$380,000 Program Support funds Approximately 75 percent of these re;ources are allocated for l
support of ACRS activities and 25 percent for support of ACNW activities.
This results in the following resources for ACRS activities:
28.5 FTEs
$285,000 Program Support
$275,000 travel funds
