Subject: NRC-Region I Inspection 50-443/90-10 (4/10/90 - 5/13/90)
This refers to the above subject safety inspection of the Seabrook Station,
Seabrook, New Hampshire.
The inspection results are described in the enclosed
report and were discussed with Mr. D. Moody and other members of your staff on
May 14,_1990.
Overall, this inspection showed a conservative and safe approach to plant
operation; however, instances of lack of equipment configuration control were
noted and are described in Enclosure 1, Notice of Violation. As the inspection:
report shows, we found your immediate corrective actions on these self-
identified items to be sound and the safety importance of these specific in-
stances to be minor.
The violation was cited because of the importance of
formal specification of your actions to prevent future configuration control
problems
