APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENT TO OPERATING LICENSE Pursuant to Section 50.90 of the regulations of the_U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Duquesne Light Company hereby requests that the Technical Specifications be amended to support removal of_the existing Reactor Coolant System hot-leg and cold leg Resis_tance Temperature Detcctor (RTD) bypass system and replace it with fast response thermowell mounted RTD's installed in the reactor coolant loop piping.
The proposed technical specification change is set forth in' Attachment A
to this Application.
A Safety Analysis and No Significant Hazard Evaluation is set forth in Attachment B.
Based on the guidance provided by the Commission, the proposed changes have been determined to involve no significant hazards. consideration in accordance with 10 CFR 50.92.
WHEREFORE, Applicant respectfully requests that ' Appendix.A to these Operating Licenses be amended in the form attached hereto as Attachment A.
