REVIEW 0F EPRI REPORT NP-5652, DATED MARCH 1988 Attached for your review and coment is a copy of EPRI document " Guidelines for the Utilization of Commercial Grade items in Nuclear Safety Related Applications," (NCIG-07. EPRI NP-5652 Final Report, March 1988). This document represents the culmination of the EPR1/NCIG task group effort and provides direction for the procurement and use of commercial grade items (CGI) in safety related applications. Earlier drafts of this document were discussed with the NRC staff during working meetings on July 29 and November 19, 1987.
Your coments and recommendations are reques'ted concerning this final draft of i
EPRI NP-5652. Comments received by May 20, 1988 will be incorporated in our response to EPRI.
