GENTLEMEN:
The following information is submitted in response to your letter of September 3, 1981, which requested additional actions in regard to Station Blackout procedures and training.
Procedures referenced in our initial response of June 15, 1981 have been integrated as requested.
The new Station Blackout procedures, HtP-1-1944 and HNP-2-1944 for Units 1 and 2 respectively, were approved by the Plant Review Board on September 18, 1981.
The Plant Training Department will issue copies of the procedures, along with a discussion of their purpose, to all Operations personnel prior to the end of September, as requested.
Operations personnel will be required to sign a statement indicating that they understand the purpose and actions of the new procedures.
The Plant Training Department will also conduct special blackout training for operations personnel before November 15, 1981.
We plan no further response in this regard.
Please contact this office if further information is desired.
