c San Onofre Nuclear Generating Stati IM V Units 283 Southern California Edison Company and San Diego Gas and Electric Company herewith submit an application for Amendment No. I to NRC Materials License Nos. SNM-1879 and SNM-1852, issued May 21, 1981, for the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Units 2&3. This amendment is to clarify that fire detection devices are not provided inside the fuel handling building.
Nine copies of the application for Amendment No.1 to the licenses are enclosed for your review and approval.
Issuance of Amendment No. 1 to these NRC Materials Licenses is requested by August 7, 1981, to be consistent with the schedule for new fuel shipment.
The special nuclear materials addressed in these special nuclear materials licenses are designated for future inclusion in the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Units 2&3 Operating License for which an application was filed March 21, 1977.
