This refers to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) administered
examination and inspection activities conducted by Ronald F. Aiello during the
period of April 26-29, 1994.
The examination was administered to one employee
of your company who had applied for a license to operate the Catawba Nuclear
Station. At the coi.clusion of the examination, the examination and
preliminary findings were discussed with those members of your staff
identified in the NRC Examination Report, Enclosure 1.
A Simulator Facility Report is included in this report as Enclosure 2.
The
NRC's response to the facility's initial examination exemption request is
included in this report as Enclosure 3.
In October, 1993, 10 candidates from your facility participated in the Generic
,
Fundamentals Examination.
Of the 10 examined, 10 passed for a 100 percent
pass rate.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of
this letter and its enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
