By letter dated Septeaber 7,1982 we sent you a Safety Evaluation (SE) concerning the electrical, instrumentation and control aspects of the Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station Auxiliary Feedwater System, THI Action Plan Item II.E.1.2 Our SE was based on design infomation including design descriptions and logic diagrams which we thought to be sufficient at that time. However, in view of a recent finding that our understanding of the design may not accurately represent the final systen to be installed, we request that you submit detailed electrical schematic diagrams showing the actual automatic initiation circuitry and emergency feedwater system pump and valve contr.o1 circuits to be installed.
With this information we will reexamine your design to detemine if our conclusions as stated in the SE still renain valid. Please contact your project manager if you have any questions.
The reporting and/or recording keeping requirements contained in this letter affect fewer than ten respondents; therefore, Of!B clearance is not required under P. L. 9G-511.
