~ ' _9 BELLEFONTE NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 1 - SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSE TO VIOLATION 50-438/82-06 REACTOR BUILDING SPRAY FLUSH
'[
This is in response to F. S. Cantrell's letter dated April 1,1982, report numbers 50-438/82-06, 50-439/82-06, concerning activities at the Bellefonte Nuclear Plant which appeared to have been in violation of NRC regulations.
The previous response to this violation was submitted on April 30, 1982.
As discussed with C. Burger by telephone on October 1,1982, the date of October 1, 1982 for completion of corrective actions indicated in our response on this matter was not met. TVA's initial attempts to manually clean the reactor building spray header proved to be insufficient. A system reflush has been determined to be necessary to obtain Class B cleanliness. Corrective action on this matter will now be complete on or before March 1, 1983 If you have any questions concerning this matter, please get in touch with R. H. Shell at FTS 858-2688.
Very truly yours, TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY 3
