REQUEST TO INSTITUTE A S!!ON CAUSE PROCEEDIhU Illinois Friends of the Earth, an Illinois organization, end Bridget Little Roren, an individuni and President of Illinois Frionds of the Earth, horoby request the Director of Nuetear Reactor Regulation, pursuant to 10 CFR 2.206, to institute a pro-ceeding pursuant to 10 CFR ?.20?., to suspend the license granted Commonwealth Edison Company on 17 'Abril 1987, allowing that ' com-l pany to load nuclear fuci in the LaSalle County Nucicar Station, Unit I, LaSalle County, Illinois.
This request is made based upon information contained within affidavits given by four former Lahh11e plant construction wo'rkers concerning structural problems at the plant.
The affidavits were taken by Thomas Devine, legal director l
of tke Government Accountability Project of the Institute for Policy E
Studies, Washingt on, D.C., in March 1982 '
