Texas Utilities Generating Company, et al.
(Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station, Units 1 and 2); Docket Nos. 50-445 and 50-446 Gentlemen:
Transmitted herewith is the following prefiled written testimony of Applicants:
(1) Testimony of Messrs. Skiles, Armstrong and Born concerning Judge Jordan's inquiry regarding the appointment of an emergency Planning coordinator; and (2) Testimony of Mr. Vega regarding Applicants' response to CAT Report.
Applicants will call these witnesses to testify at the evidentiary hearings commencing May 16.
Also transmitted herewith in response to Board inquiries regarding certain Board Notifications are the following affidavits:
(1) Affidavit of Mr. Marshall regarding classification of safety equipment; 8305090507 830505 PDR ADDCK 05000445 T

. (2) Supplemental Affidavit of Mr. Wade regarding use of Superstrut materials and Reliance control panels; (3) Affidavit of Mr. Finneran regarding use of pipe clamps; and (4) Affidavit of Mr. Woodlan regarding use of Westinghouse reactor trip breakers.
Applicants file these affidavits in response to the Board's preliminary inquiries into the Board Notifications.
The Board had indicated that such written submittals could answer its inquiries.
We trust that those affidavits are responsive to the Board's inquiries and do not intend to present testimony on these matters at the forthcoming evidentiary hearings.
On another matter, in response to the Board's inquiry regarding the status of the Department of Labor proceeding involving Atchison, Applicants advise that the Secretary of Labor has not yet issued his final decision.
We are advised that the Secretary usually issues his finally decision approximately 120 days after receipt of the last pleading, although of course there is no way to predict this in a particular case.
The last pleading in the Atchison case was filed in mid-March.
We are also advised that it would not be unprecedented for the Secretary to take up to one year to issue his final decision.
