II. SECY-77-538 - Procosed Amendments to 10 CFR Parts 19 & 20 to Control Radiation Exoosure to Transient Workers (CONSENT CALENDAR ITEM)
The Commission, by a vote of 4-0, approved publishing the subject proposed amendments to 10,CFR Parts 19 and 20 in the Federal Register.
The Commission requested that:
1.
a 60-day public comment period be established; i
2.
at the end of the comment period, the staff should prepare for Commission consideration a paper detailing the staff's final recommendation for adopting these amendments.
(Chairman Hendrie indicated that he would like to consider the cost / benefit aspects of the amendments before agreeing to implement); (SD)
