SECY-75-9S - PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO 10 CFR PART 20 ON PERSONNEL MONITORING REPORTS SECY:RBM At Policy Session 75-20', April 24, 1975, during discussion of SECY 75-98, the Commission, subj ect to the understanding that the*need for and use of the information collected will be reviewed by the Commission within a year of publication of the Amendments in effective form:
a.
Approved the extension of the requirements for annual reports (9.20.407) to all NRC specific licensees, retaining the existing application of reouirements-for' termination reports (s20.4081 to four categories of licensees (A'lternative'3 in SECY 75-98); and b.
Noted:
1.
the proposed amendment to 10 CFR Part 20, set out.in Enclosure "A" of SECY 75-98, will he published in the Federal Register, allowing 45 days for public comment; 2.
if after expiration.of the comment period no significant adverse comments or significant questions have been received and no substantial changes in the text of the rule are ind'.cated, the Executive Director for Operations will arrange f r publication of the amendment in final fora.
If significant adverse comment or significent changes in the text of the rule are indicated, the revised amendment will be submitted to the Commission for P

General Accounting Office review of the revised reporting requirements will be obtained prior to publication of the amendments in effective forn, and 6.
pursuant to 551. 5 (d) (3). of Part 51 of the Commission's regulations, neither an environmental impact state-ment nor a negative declaration need be prepared in connection with these amendments since they impose only reporting requirements and thus are insignificant from the standpoint of environmental impact.
It is our understanding that your office is taking the appropriate action.
Copies of all correspondence to the JCAE and the Federal j
Register should be provided to-the Office of the Secretary.
