APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT REQUEST FOR SPECIAL NUCLEAR MATERIALS LICENSE NUMBER 2016, LICENSE TERMINATION AND AMENDMENT 4 FOR PASSPORT SYSTEMS, INC (ENTERPRISE PROJECT IDENTIFIER L-2019-LLA-0024)
Dear Dr. Korbly:
By letter dated October 16, 2019 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System
[ADAMS] Accession Number ML19290E196), you requested that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) terminate Special Nuclear Materials License Number 2016 (SNM-2016) for Passport Systems, Inc.
Enclosed is a safety evaluation report (SER), to document the NRC staffs review of your request. The license amendment request is approved and documented in Amendment 4 of the SNM-2016 License. Having met the final actions required prior to termination, as discussed further in the SER, License SNM-2016 is hereby terminated. This termination is being issued in accordance with the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR),
Section 70.38. Upon issuance of a Federal Register Notice regarding the license termination, Enterprise Project Identification Code L-2019-LLA-0024 will be closed.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.390, Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding, of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this communication will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room, or from the NRCs ADAMS. The ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web Site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
