SE0CND INTERIM REPORT Description of Deficiency The Babcock & Wilcox Comrany (B&W) has notified TVA of a concern on the lube oil coolers for th, makeup /high pressure pump. The cause of this concern is that the head ooposite the inlet and' outlet piping connections of these makeup /high pressure pump lobe oil coolers can be misoriented so that the coolers can' have a 2-pass configuration instead of the intended 4-pass configuration. The pump vendor is Bingham-Willamette, and the heat exchanger (lube oil cooler) is supplied by Ametek, Schutte and Koerting Division of Whitlock.
Interim Progress TVA has trunsmitted a copy of this nonconformance report (NCR) to B&W. B&W has acknowledged receipt of the NCR and has informed TVA when they will reply.
