EISENHUT, DIRECTOR DIVISION OF LICENSING U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION b'ASHINGTON DC 20555 DOCKET No 50-312 RANCHO SECO NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION UNIT NO 1 REVISION TO PROPOSED AMENDMENT NO 76 In accordance with 10 CFR 50.59, the Sacramento Municipal Utility District hereby proposes to amend its Operating Licerise, DPR-54, for Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station, Unit No. 1 by submitting forty (40) copies of Proposed Amendment No. 76, Revision 1.
The purpose of this revision and those proposed in our original submittal March 13, 1981 is to assure operation of the Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station, Unit No. 1 Cycle 5 core within applicable fuel design and perform-ance criteria.
The proposed supplemental changes are shown in Attachment 1 as replacement pages for the Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station Technical Specifications:
2.1 SAFETY LIMITS, REACTOR CORE, Figures 2.1-2 and 2.1-3 2.3 LIMITING SAFETY SYSTEM SETTINGS PROTECTIVE INSTRUMENTATION, Figures 2 3-1, 2.3-2 and Table 2.3-1 and associated pages 2-3, 2-5, 2-6 and 2-7 The reasons for the revised Reactor Protection System setpoints were described in our Licensee Event Report No. 81-07.
The District letter of February 24, 1981, stated that string error analysis was being evaluated and that you would be notified of specific corrective actions.
This proposed amendment satisfies the corrective actions necessary to resolve the stated problems.

The District consid-ered the original request to be under 10 CFR 170.22 Class lil and forwarded the requi red fee of $4,000 wi th the March 13, 1981 letter.
