By letters dated January 10 and April 12, 1979 and February 15,1980 you provided infomation on the potential override of containment purge isolation and other Engineered Safety Features (ESF) at CR-3.

The enclosed Safety Evaluation Report completes the electriral everride part of our long-tem review of CR-3 "Containnent Purging and Venting During Normal Operation".

We haveealso completed our review of your submittals for your facility which provided your comitments to our October 23,1979 " Interim Position on Containment Purging and Venting Pending P solution of Isolation Valve Operability". We find your corsnitments to the Interin Position acceptable and are to remain in effect pending cmpletion' of our 1ong-tem review.

You may receive additional stafi' guidance or questions as our long-term review continues. At the conclusion of our long-tem review, we will pro-i vide you with our Safety Evaluation a.nd request Technical Specification changes if required.
