Subject:- NRC Region I Combined Inspection Report Nos. 50-317/89-23 and
50-318/89-23
This transmits the August 29 - October 2, 1989, resident inspection findings by
Mr. D. Limroth and others, at the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Lusby,
Maryland. Those findings were based on observation of activities, interviews,
and document reviews, which have been discussed with Mr. Russell and others of
your staff.
An apparent violation of NRC requirements was cited in Appendix A and cate-
gorized under the NRC Enforcement Policy. 10 CFR 2, Appendix C.
A reply is
required in accordance with Appendix A.
The requirement that you reply is
exempt from clearance by the Office of Management and Budget under the Paper-
work Reduction Act of 1980, PL 96-511.
