SUBJECT:
SYSTEMATIC EVALUATION PROGRAM TOPIC III-7.B. DESIGN CODES, DESIGN CRITERIA, LOAD COMBINATIONS, AND REACTOR CAVITY DESIGN We are continuing our review of Topic III-7.B and require additional infonnation.
The codes used in the structural design of structures classified as Seismic Category I in Topic III-l will be reuthwdd. For Oyster Creek, these currently are:
Reactor Building Drywell Ventstack Intake and Discharge Structure Spent Fuel Pool l
Control Room (and supporting part of the Turbine Building)
Please supply the design codes and criteria, including specific dates and editions that were used in the design of the above structures. Codes relating to design of the torus, equipment supports in Standard Review Plan 3.8.3, shield walls and subcompartments inside containment, and masonry walls, will not be reviewed as part of this topic.
We do not intend to review component supports as part of this topic; however, component supports may be included if items of concern applicable to component supports are found as a result of reviewing the structural l
codes.
