Thank you for your letter of November 25, '1980 nominating Dr. R. C. Vogel to serve on the Research Review Group (RRG). to review research on the Iodine-Cesium question.
- g My staff is planning to hold a RRG ceeting on March 16, 1981 to review I
7 the state-of-technology report on the release of fission product iodine, currently in preparation.
Research on the Iodine-Cesium question will be one of the important subjects addressed in this report. Material
- suitable to be reviewed will be sent to Dr. Yogel as it becomes available.
In accordance with the Federal Advisory Conraittee Act, only Federal employees can serve as official members of review groups; however.
outside experts and peer reviewers can participate individually as

observers with the RRG. We are pleased to accept your nomination of Dr. Vogel to the RRG in the capacity noted above and look forward to 4
