Description of Event

On January 7,1981 the Unit in mode 1, the containment personnel hatch outer door leaked air past its seals during an air leak test.

Probable Consequences of Occurrence Since the inner door remained operable and the outer door was repaired within 24 hours2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> the health and safety of the general public were not affected.

Cause of Event

The cause of the leaking seals on the outer hatch door was due to improper fitup of the door seals to the frame.

Immediate Corrective Action

Immediately upon indication of the leaking hatch seals, an Emergency i

Maintenance Request was written and a Deviation Report was submitted.

The outer watch door was adjusted and retested with s.tisfactory results.

Scheduled Corrective Action No corrective action is scheduled.

Actions Taken to Prevent Recurrence No action is taken to prevent recurrence.
