In your letter cf Octcber 31, 1980, you reference requests for action concerning the Sailly Cenerating Station, Nuclear 1, that have been filed by the Qffice of the Attcrney-General of the State of Illinois and by the City of Gary,:-Indtana 9 pursuant to Section 2.206 cf 10 CFR Part 2 of the Ccmissien's regulatichs.

been receiving on a routine basis, ccpies of correspondence from the Director.T cf !!uclear Reactor Regulation to the State of Illinois Attorney-General's Of f.f ce er the City of Gary concerning their respective requests for action.
It is the policy of the Nuclear Regulatory Ccamissicn to provide the licensee with copies of all currespondence from the Directcr to individuals who have requested action with respect to a licensee's facility. Apparcntly, through an oversight on cur jart, NIPSCO has not always been sent ccpies of such correspcndence that concern the Bailly facility. We regret this oversight.
Encicsed herein are ccpies of all ccrrespondence from the Of rector to the Illincis Attorney-General's Cffice and to the City cf Gary, Indiana concerning their requests for acticn with respect to the Bailly facility.
You also trention in your letter cf Octcber 31, 1980, a fcrthccming meeting between the hRC staff and representatives of the Illinois Attorney-General's~0ffice and the City cf Gary. This meeting has not yet been scheduled since we are still waiting for issuance of the rcport by the Federal Emergency Management A:,e cy.
The report which has been issued is characterized by FEP.A as a contracto;'s study and is not considered an official publication cf that agency. Shculd such a meeting be scheduled, you will be notified of its time and location and would be welecce to attend.
