DOCKET 50-155 - LICENSE DPR BIG ROCK POINT PLANT - DESCRIPTION OF INSERVICE TEST (IST) PROGRAM FDR PUMPS AND VALVES AND REQUESTS FOR RELIEF FROM SPECIFIC ASME CODE REQUIRDIENTS -
PROGRAM REVISION Consumers Power Company submittals dated December 7,1979 and August ih,1980 provided the initial IST Program and a revision to that Program, respectively.
NRC letter dated January 27, 1981 indicated that the NRC has reviewed our submittals and found that Category E valves were not included.
Consumers Power Company recognized this situation and concluded that it did not adversely affect safety because the affected valves were already administrative 1y controlled by system check-off lists.
In response to the request of NRC letter dated January 27, 1981, we are revis-ing the IST Program to include Category E valves. The changes (3 pages) attached to this letter comprise a revision to the two submittals referenced above.
The changes involve the addition of " locked open" and " locked closed" nomenclature to the legend (page 11) and the addition of new table portions including the Category E valves (new pages 16a and 16b).
Your review of the attachments and the program as revised and approval of the identified relief requests are requested.
