- Mr. Ivan R. Finfrock, Jr.
Vice President Madison Avenue at Punch Bowl Road Morristown, New Jersey 07960 Gentlemen:
This refers to your letter of July 31, 1980 in response to our letter dated July 8,1980.
The effectiveness of the corrective actions documented in your letter will be examined during a subsequent inspection of your licensed program.
We acknowledge receipt of your check for Twenty-One Thousand Dollars (521,000) remitted in full payment of the Notice of Proposed Imposition of Civil Penalties enclosed with our July 8,1980 letter.
Regarding your response to Item B of the Notice of Violation enclosed with our letter, we note that you intend to use only ANSI-N18.1,1971 qualified technicians in responsible positions. Based on a telephone discussion on August 27, 1980, between Mr. J. T. Carroll of your staff and Mr. R. L. Nimitz of our Pegion I office, we understand that a review of the qualifications of all contractor supplied radiation protection technicians acting in responsible positions has been completed. Those contractor technicians who did not meet ANSI require-ments have been placed under closer supervision. Additionally, it is our understanding that a similar review of all contractor replacement technician's qualifications is to be performed prior to job assignment.
Sincerely,
.ffhb.
