- 2 Director of Nuclear Reactor Regulation El U S Nuclear Regulatory Commission L1 Washington, DC 20555 PRAIRIE ISLAND NUCLEAR GENERATING PLANT Docket No. 50-282 License No. DPR-42 50-306 DPR-60 License Amendment Request Dated November 24, 1980 Decay Heat Removal and Water Depth Over Irradiated Fuel Technical Specification Changes Attached are three originals and 37 conformed copies of a request for a change in Technical Specifications, Appendix A, of Operating Licenses DPR-42 and 60.
Also attached is one copy of the License Ame ndme nt class determination and a check in the amount of $4400 for the amendment fee.
The proposed Technical Specification changes would add Limiting Conditions for Operation and Surveillance Requirements for decay heat removal capability and water depth over irradiated fuel asemblies.
They are being submitted in response to letters from D G Eisenhut dated June 11, 1980 and T M Novak dated August 15, 1980.
Exhibit A contains the proposed changes, reasons for change, and safety evaluations.
Exh ibi t B contains revised Technical Specification pages showing the proposed changes.
