10-25-80 The def ective diesel fuel oil supply line check valve allowed the upstream fuel oil to leak back into the diesel fuel oil saddle storage tank after the diesel was shut down. When the diesel start sequence was initiated, the fuel oil supply line required repriming before any fuel oil reached the diesel cylinders, which caused the diesel start time to exceed 10 seconds.

As there is no history of events involving this particular check valve manu-factured by Perfect Circle, this is considered an isolated event with no further action required.
