Discussion of Specific Items
Dear Mr. Denton:
South Carolina Electric and Gas Company, acting for itself and South Carolina Public Servie-Authority, provides responses to questions from NRC's Mr. John Burdoin an September 8,1980 regarding TMI modifications described in NUREG 0660.

Item II.K.3.C.3.9 - The Pressurizer Pressure PID Controller (PC-444A) used to control opening of power operated relief valve PCV444B will have the rate time constant set to zero to prevent derivative action from causing spurious valve operation. PID Controllers are not used to control the other two power operated relief valves (PCV-445A and PCV-445B).

Item II.K.3.C.3.10 - The anticipatory reactor trip upon turbine trip is interlocked with the P-7 setpoint to pre-l vent a reactor trip at pwer levels less than 10%. No modification to this We' einghouse design feature will be made.
