f APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Virginia Electric and Power Company Report No. 50-338/80-31 i
Based on the h3C inspection June 19, 1980, certain of your activities were apparently not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements as indicated below. These items have been categorized as described in correspondence to you dated December 3, 1979.
1 As required by 10 CFR 71.5, no licensee shall deliver licensed material to a carrier for transport unless the licensee complies with applicable regu-lations of the Department of Transportation in 49 CFR Part 170-189. 49 CFR 173.392(8) states that the outside of each outside package must be stencilled or otherwise marked " Radioactive - LSA".
Contrary to the above, on June 19, 1980, the licensee delivered radioactive material to the Home Transportation Company trailer #035 (SSR #020845) with-out the prescribed marking.
This is Severity Level IV violation.
