Paragraph 4.6.F of the Dresden 2 cnd 3 Technien1 Specifications states that, "The results obtained from.
(performance of the inservice inspection program)... will be evaluated efter five years and the conclusions of this evaluation vill be revicued
- i with the AEC."
The letter of July 27 does not appear to provide this evaluation of program results.
If you feel that the recently issued revision to 10 CFR 50.55a has cl1=inated the need for cuch an evaluation, a Technical Specifications change request would bc in order.
Mr. Stephenson's letter alco ctated that Dresden Station had adopted the /S T Eoiler and Pressure Vessel Code 1971 edition Sun:mer Addenda as a guide.
Our inspectora are nuare of situations in which you have used more recent editions; for exarple, use of the 1974 edition to evaluate an ultrasonic indication in a safety valve nozzle veld on the Dresden 1 steam drim during the last l
refueling outage.
