Description of Event

On August 25, 1980 in mode t operation, the C steam line flow channel 4 was observed to be indicating low. The channel was placed in

.the tripped condition within I hour in accordance with T.S. 3.3.1.1.

This item is reportable pursuant to T.S. 6.9.1.9.b.

Probable Consequences of Occurrence The consequences of this event were limited because the channel was placed in the tripped condition within 1 hour1.157407e-5 days <br />2.777778e-4 hours <br />1.653439e-6 weeks <br />3.805e-7 months <br />. The channel was recslibrated and returned to service within 22 hours2.546296e-4 days <br />0.00611 hours <br />3.637566e-5 weeks <br />8.371e-6 months <br />..Therefore, the health'and safety of the public were not affected.

Cause of Event

This event was caused by instrument drift. The drift was very small (< 2%).
