We have completed a preliminary review of your submittal dated Augustl4,1980, regarding your proposed new management organization. During the, course of our review of the transfer of management and operating respdhsibility for the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station from Jersey Central Power & Light Co.;pany to General Public Utilities f uclear broup, we note that the supr,;rt to the plant staff in the area of maintenance that is currently provided by the Director, Generation Construction and Contractor Services has been deleted in the proposed urganization.
It is the NRC staff's position that the identification of where r:.aintenance support to the plant staff is con.ing from is necessary 'and that this function sncold be descritied in the propos~ed Tecnnical Specifications.
Acc]rdingly, we request that you revise your proposed Technical Specifications to mclude pro-visions for maintenance support to the plant staff.
