Dear Mr. Dunn:

This refers to the meeting on July 18, 1980, between you and members of your staff and Mr. J. Allan and members of my staff regarding the findings of an inspection of the Physical Protection Program at Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit 1 Mr. G. C. Smith of this office.

With regard to the matters discussed during the meeting on July 18, 1980, we understand that you have taken or agree to take the actions outlined in the attachment to this letter.

In accordance with Section 2.790(d) of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, documentation of findings of the control and accounting procedures for safeguarding special nuclear materials and facility security procedures are exempt from disclosure; therefore, the attachment to the letter will not be placed in the Public Document Room.

If your understanding of the planned actions is not in accordance with the attachment to this letter. please contact this office by telephone and in writing irmiediately.
