At approxinately 1100 hours0.0127 days <br />0.306 hours <br />0.00182 weeks <br />4.1855e-4 months <br /> on June 24, '1976, a leak was discovered in

j the emergency feedwater line to "A" steam generator between the E.F.ll.

-r pumps and valves CV-2670 and CV-2627.

The Icak was located in a verti-cal run of pipe uhcro the pipe ponctrated a 32 inch concretc floor. The defcet in the pipe appears to have originated from the 0.D. of the pipe.

The defective section of pipe was replaced.

The floor penetration was i

enlarged to prevent. contact of the pipe with the concrete and rebar in i

the floor in case. electrolysis or corrosion caused the failure.

Even if the plant-had been at power,' the pumps and valves associated with the redundant loop were operable, thus there was no hazard to the health and mfety of the public.
