APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Florida Power Corporation License No. DPR-72 Crystal River 3 Based on the NRC inspection March 18-21, 1980, certain of your activities were apparently not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements as indicated below. These items have been categorized as described in correspondence to you dated December 31, 1974.
As required by Technical Specification 6.8.1, procedures referenced in Reg.
Guide 1.33 (1972), Appendix A, must be follo-d.

Guide 1.33 (1972), Appendix A, lists protec e clothing as an area where procedures are needed. Facility Radiation
.otection Procedure RP-101, Radiation Protection Manual includes procedures for use and reuse of protec-tive clothing. Section 4.9 of RP-101 states laundered protective cloth:4g is acceptable for reuse if survey readings indicate a radiation level below 1500 counts per minute as measured with a side window G-M tube.
Contrary to the above, on March 18, 1980, several dozen sets of laundered coveralls were found with radioactivity in excess of the above limits.
Measurements indicated radiation levels as high as 7 mrem /hr, corresponding to an estimated 7000 to 10000 counts per minute.
This is an infraction.
