This refers to your September 21 and October 4,1979 reque ' for route approval to cover shipments of Oyster Creek spent fuel.
We have determined that the review of licensee route approval requests is subject to the Commission's license fee schedule in 10 CFR 170.
For reactor licensees, fees for the review of route approval requests will be assessed under fee Category F of Section 170.21, as special projects.
In accordance with Footnote 4 of Section 170.21, the charge for the review will be detennined by the Commission based on the professional manpower required to conduct the review plus any support costs.
In determining the fee to be charged, only actual staff time expended in the review of the route request is used to calculate the fee, the route (field) survey con-ducted by the NRC staff is excluded from fee computation.
The review of the September 21 and October 4,1979 route approval request was c :pleted on April 16,1980 (copy enclosed). The cost of the review amounted to $1,349 (35.5 man-brs. 0 $38/ man-hr.). We have notified the NRC Office of the Controller td issue your Company an invoice for the fee.
