The boron concentration in the RWST was measured to be 2124 ppm.

Conditions Prior to Occurrence:

Unit 1 in Mode 4 Apparent Cause of Occurrence:

Evidently, the makeup to the RWST had too high of a boron concentration.

This caused the RWST boron concentration to go a*save the allowed Mode 4 limit of 2100 ppm.

Analysis of Occurrence:

There was no danger to the health and safety oi the public.

Corrective Action

Instructed operators to reduce makeup concentration, had valve alignment -

rechecked to eliminate possi'ility of boric acid in leakage. Reviewed blending procedure for flow settings, had flow instruments checked.
