Subject: Management Meeting 50-219/80-18
This refers to the management meeting conducted by J. M. Allan, Deputy Director,
Region I and other members of the Region I staff at our office in King of
Prussia, Pennsylvania, on April 29, 1980 with yourself and members of your staff
and to the discussions regarding your corrective actions in response to the
Notice of Violation dated February 20, 1980, the effectiveness of your manage-
ment controls, and the recent health physics items of noncompliance.
The matters discussed during this meeting are described in the Office of Inspection
and Enforcement Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter.
In regard
to the matters contained in paragraphs 3.a, 3.b, 3.c and 10, you are requested
to provide this office within 20 days your written comments addressing the
uommitments discussed.
During a May 23, 1980 meeting held at the Oyster Creek plant between Mr. Allan
and members of your staff, agreement was reached that the enclosed inspection
report contains no information that you (or your contractor) believe to be
proprietary. Therefore, in accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of
Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter
and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC's Public Document
Room.
