SCOPE:
This document shall govern the procedure to be followed for control of drawings by the Construc~ tion Department during the construct-

ion of Oconce Nucicar Station.
2 PURPOSE:
I 2.1 To provide a system of control of design and canufacturers' drawings
'3 during construction.
2.2 To ptovide control of drawing revisions for construction use.

PROCEDURE:
31 The Construction Department receives all approved drawings from the t
Engineering Department. Drauings roccived from any other source vill i

- he considered as information only and will not be used for construction.
Duplicate copics of the Iceters of transmittal which are for the vice-r I
g president, Engineering are stamped duplicate and cent separately to the field.
This serves as.a check on drawings to assure they are not i
j lost in the processing from the Engineering Department to the ficid.
If drawings listed on this duplicate trans=ittal are not received in one i
l veck the appropriate section head is notified.

3.2 The Field T.ngineering Office has responsibility for receiving, logging

k and distributing drauings to the Superintendent, Layout Engineer and

Inspectors.
The Superintendent and/or his Cencral Foremen are responsibic for getting the new drawingn to the foremen and either destroying the t
i old drawings or ;arking them superceded.
In the case of inspectors, t

l 3.3 Prior to the distribution of any drawings, the Field Engineering Office a
vill review the drauings and transmittal letter to determine if the

i drawing is released for construction. Any ' drawing not released will be i
stamped "PRELI!!II'ARY." Drawings which are released for certain parts I
l only will be marked " PARTIALLY RELEASED."
3.4 Each week an appropriate Field Engineer or his designated representative will inspect cach foreman, inspector and layout party to assure that no i
l superceded drawings are being used. A record of this inspection will be I
made. It is the responsibility of the Field Engineer Office to naintain I
the records of thosc-inspections and notify the apprcpriate Field Engineer i
if it has not been made.
