Tennessee Valley Authority Sequoyah Nuclear Plant LER SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION SQRO-50-327/ 8054 Technical Specification Involved: None Reported Under Technical Specification 6.9.1.13.c Date of Occurrence: 5/9/80 Time of Occurrence: 1825 CDT Unit 1 Identification and Description of Occurrence A dcaign review of the field as-constructed insulation installation drawings revealed discrepancies between as-installed weights of some insulation and the weights used by EN DES during piping system support analyses. As a result of these discrepancies, the piping support system will require reanalysis to determine compliance with the FSAR criteria.

Condition Prior to Occurrence N/A.

Action Specified in the Technical Specification Surveillance Requirements Met Due to Inoperable Equipment N/A.

. Apparent Cause of Occurrence l

The field as-constructed insulation drawings were not available to EN DES before support design data was required to meet critical schedules.

Analysis of Occurrence The use of incorrect weight for the piping insulation during piping , system analysis could result in piping supports not being seismically qualified.

Corrective Action EN DES has generated ECN L-5271 to accomplish a reanalysis of the piping systems and supports in question using the as-installed weights of the insulation. Support changes will be made ~ on this ECM as required, based on the reanalysis data. No physical changes are anticipated at this time.

This will be completed prior to initial criticality.
