f ATTACHMENT 1-STATEMENT OF WORK FIN #'B-6416-8 l.0 BACKGROUND The NRC previously' contracted with NL Industries to provice drafting services to revise the Sandia drawings of the PAT-1-.

nr.chage for air transport of plutonium. This previous work was done undar FIN fB6384. Under the previous contract, NL Industries was directed

.c make certain changes to the drawings, including: (1) consolidating

.aa data ento a smaller number of sheets; (2) deleting the old title blocks;-(3) renumbering the drawings; (4) deleting redundant. projections; (5) simplifying the parts list; (6) revising the drawing notes to be consistent with the specifications in the NRC SAR, (7) substituting mT.ercial specificatiens for military specifications, where applicable; and (8) revising certain tolerance dimensions on the AQ-1 overpack to be nominal values.

This work was completed by NL Inoustries, however the staff now desires to revise the drawings to restore the tolerances that were deleted from the AQ-1 overpack dimensions. The purpose of this contract is to obtain professional drafting services to acccmplish the desired work.

2.0 WORK REQUIRED The NRC will provide the contractor with a set of 24 full-size, reproducible drawings of the Model PAT-1 packag'e, together with the specific tolerances that are to be added. 'The specific ' tolerances-to be added will be shown on -a tabular list and on the approximately.40 drawings originally prepared by Sandia.

The Contractor shall prepare a set of engineering drawings that incorporate the indicated tolerances, together with the date of the revision. The Centractor shall utilize the services of qualified draftsmen and supervisory

! personnel to assure that the drawings are accurate and of high professional

-quality. -Upon completion of the work, the Contractor shall provide the NRC 'with two_ (2) -sets-of full-size, reproducible-drawings and two (2) sets of full-size prints. The period of performance under this contract shall begin.on April:21, 1978, and shall end on May 8,1978 at which time all work shall_be completed.

'4.0 NRC FURNISHED MATERIAL The project manager shall provide the referencea drawings to the contractor on the date of contract award. A set of 24 full-size, reproducible drawings that are to be revised, a list of the1 tolerances to'be added and the.approximately 40 drawings originally prepared by Sandia shcuing the tolerances.
