This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. A. D. Johnson and
M. H. Malmros of this office on Octoher 10, 11 and November 6, 7 and 12,
1974 of activities authorized by AEC License No. DPR-54 and to the
discussion of our findings held by Mr. Johnson with Mr. J. Mattimoe
and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas av==ined during this inspection are described in the enclosed
inspection report. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of
selective ex==4 nations of procedures and representative records, in-
tarviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.

During this inspection, it was found that certain of your activities
appeared to be in violation of AEC requirements. The items and re-
ferences to the pertinent requirements are listed in the enclosure to
this letter.

of the AE 's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, code of Federal
Regulations. Smetion 2.201 requires you to submit to this office within
twenty (20) days of your receipt of this notice, a written statement or
explanation in reply including:
(1) corrective steps which have been
taken by you, and the results achieved; (2) corrective steps which will
be taken to avoid further violations; and (3) the date when full cotpliance
will be achieved. Your reply need not address ~ items (1) and (2) listed
in the Description of Vio161ons since your letters to Liccasing dated
October 9 and 22, 1974 n ovided response to these items and we have no
further questions ::.i. this time concerning those items.

In accordance with Section 2.790 of 'the AEC's " Rules of Practice,"
Pert 2, Title 10, code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and
the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the AEC's Public
Document Room.
If this report contains any information that you believe
to be proprietary, it is necessary that you submit a written application
to this office, within 20 days of the date of this letter, requesting
that such information be withheld from public disclosure. The applica-
tion must include a full statement of the reasons why it is claimed that
the information is proprietary. The application should be prepared so
that any proprietary information identified is contained in an enclosure
'
to the application, sin:e the application without the enclosure will
also be placed in the Public Document Room. If we do not hear from you
in this regard within the specified period, the report will be placed in
the Public Document Room.
