The attached report of a routine unannounced inspection of the subject
facility on February 1-h,1972, is forwarded for information.
No items
of nonc.ompliance or nonconformance were found.
It is difficult to explain how a functioning quality program can allow
misplacement or loss of a pressurizer safety valve and a relief valve.
This matter and its implications will be pursued in future inspections.

Our inspectors do not believe that significant deficiencies exist in the
t
areas of visual inspection of joint preparation of containment liner
,
plates and lack of defined procedures for routine veld repairs on the
liner plate. The applicable code does not establish specific requirements
in these areas.
