CPPR-51, DOCKET NO. 50-302 The attached report of a routine announced inspection of the subject facility is forwarded for information.
During the inspection, one of our inspectors, Mr. Kelley, observed a valve in storage which appeared to have a thin valled section. Measurements were made at that time and it was confirmed that the mininum vall thickness was less than that required by USA Standard B16.5 The inspectors also identified several deficiencies in storage and inspection of safety-related equipment. All of the above items were identified for specific answer in

j the post inspection letter whien was sent to the licensee.
We expect

Florida Power Corporation to respond satisfactorily to the identified items and to tighten up on their storage and inspection program.
During the inspection, the Compliance principal inspector responsibility was assumed by R. F. Warnick.
