RII:SCE (50-302/79-54)

Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

We offer the following additional responses to the apparent Items of Noncompliance in the referenced inspection report.

A-1: In addition to our original action, a directive from the Nuclear Plant Manager to all personnel has been prepared and distributed, re-emphasizing the importance of attention to detail.

-B:

Radiation Protection Procedure, RP-217, Radioactive Material Tagging, has been revised to incorporate tagging and labeling re-quirements for containers as they are created.

Guidance and rein-struction of field personnel is currently being accomplished.

We expect to achieve full compliance by March 28, 1980.

If there are further questions, please contact us.

Very truly yours, FLORIDA POWER CORPORATION J. A. Hancock fe 4%a M Director
