Ycur memorandum dated Septerier 25, 1930 Attached is a best estimate schedule for completing IE inputs in the subject proceedings.
Due to the lateness in inputs frem other IE sources in the canagerent capability area and our limited manpcwer.for_ pre _p_aring-testimcny in this area, additional delay may be encountered.' Mcwever71 understand that this would not impact severely en the course of the h,earin.SS.
With respect to the March 5,1950 Beard Order, Item 10, there are two separate investigations in progress (One in the Department of Justice; the other, IE:HQ) which relate directly to this questien.
The fi rst relates - -
to falsificaticn of RCS leakage rate deteminations (as alleged by Hart.an) and the other, whether plant personnel withheld vital ccre date.frem NRC early en in the accident.
It seems to me that Item 10 cannot be answered pending the cutccre of those investigaticns.
