The Georgia Power Company wishes to submit the following information concerning the noncompliance discussed in your inspection report number 50-424/78-8 and 50-425/78-8.
The material noted by the noncompliance has been segregated as required.
Procedures GD-A-01, " Warehouse-Receipt, Storage, and Material Issue",
and GD-T-01, "Noncoformance Control", will be revised to require segregation of nonconforming material when practicable.
Procedure MD-A-01, " Receipt & Storage of Mechanical Equipment," will be
- vised to require inspectors to review the hold tag log to assure that.the hol tag status is revie..ed. prior to releasing equipment.
The Georgia Power Company is confident that the above actions will greatly improve the control of nonconforming items during the receipt and storage of material and equipment.
Full compliance will be achieved by January 15, 1979.
The information contained in the inspection report is not considered to be proprietary.
