Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
We offer the following response to the apparent Item of Deviation in the referenced Inspection Report.
NOTICE OF DEVIATION In your letters dated May 9, 1978 and May 31, 1978, FFC made a commitment to modify three fire doors in order to comply with ANSI N I.5.2.9 requirements This modification relating to permanent and temporary record storage vaults.
consisted of installation of fire doors with a Class "A" three hour rating.
This was to be accomplished by September 30, 1978.
Contrary to the above, on February 15, 1979, the inspector determined that one newly installed door on the temporary storage vr. ult still had a rating of one Additionally, the door in question was wedged fully open and one half hours.
The vault was unattended at the time.
