APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Tennessee Valley Authority License No. CPPR-153 Hartsville, Unit B-2 Based on the results of the NRC inspection conducted on January 2-5, 1979, it appears that certain of your activities were not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements as indicated below. These items have been categorized as described in correspondence to you dated December 31, 1974.
As required by Criterion V of Appendix B to 10 CFR 50, as implemented by PSAR Section 17.lA.5, " Activities af fecting quality shall be prescribed by documented instructions, procedures,..and shall be accomplished in accordance with those instructions, procedures.
TVA specification G-2 and C. F. Braun Specification 300-1 requires that concrete surf aces be protected f rom loss of moisture for a minimum of 14 days following placement.
Contrary to the above, on January 3,1979, at 9:00 a.m. and at 4:30 p.m.,
and on Januar'/ 4, 1979, at 7:30 a.m.,
large areas on the surface of pour number B2R-1A were not protected f rom loss of moisture Pour number B2R-1 A was placed on December 21-22, 1978.
This is an inf raction.
